Aqua India 2005
Objectives :
  • To assess the status of shrimp and scampi culture and processing in India in 2004
  • To understand important trends that are occurring in the sector and its various segments
  • To identify and analyze factors that play a significant role in shaping the present and future of the sector
  • To provide an update on technology and other developments that are critical to the future of the sector
  • To present Vision 2005 for the shrimp and scampi farming sectors
Format of the Meeting :
  • Invited speakers, who are representatives of, or experts in their respective fields, will present the topics.

Venue : Parameshwari Kalyana Mandapam, Mini By-pass Road, Ramamurthy Nagar, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh

Sessions & Topics:
  1. Farm Session: Production trends in 2004 including bottlenecks; Disease outbreaks; New and emerging technologies; Update on loose shell problem.
  2. Hatchery Session: PL production trends in 2004 including bottlenecks; PL quality and other laboratory/ standardization issues; New and emerging technologies and Government policy issues.
  3. Processing & Markets Session: Demand and supply in 2004; Emerging trends in buyer markets; New Products, Value Addition; Prices, Antidumping & Trade Barriers, Food safety and Traceability
Target Audience:

Aqua professionals, farmers, hatchery operators, process plant personnel, manufacturers & suppliers to the hatchery and farm sectors, representatives of laboratories, representatives of government departments, research institutes and university and anyone playing a key role in aquaculture.

Registration will be restricted to 200 persons only on first come first served basis.
